Co-founder and Legal Director

One of the leading names in Brazilian animal law, Letícia Filpi leads Gaia Libertas with a technical and combative approach. With over a decade of experience, she has built a substantial portfolio of landmark cases that shaped national case law, joining academic depth to incisive practice before the higher courts.

Marcelo Daidone Chalita

Co-founder and Senior Lawyer, Master in Animal Law

A lawyer who graduated from PUC/SP in 2018, Marcelo specialises in the intersection of criminology and non-human rights. He works in strategic litigation and consulting for international organisations, and is central to building complex defences that challenge the status quo of industrial exploitation from a criminal and administrative angle.
